Why choose a blockout backdrop?

Our block out photography backdrops stops light showing through from the back of the fabric. A standard printed backdrop is a perfect solution in most environments. A block out backdrop is the preferred solution for issues with lighting coming through from behind the backdrop. For example, if you are using your backdrop up against a white wall, then a normal (non-blockout) backdrop will be perfect. If you intend to suspend your backdrop on some rigging in the centre of a room, we would advise you to opt for a blackout backdrop.

Light stop photography backdrops

The black resin backing on our Blockout Photography Backdrop prevents any light show-through from the rear.

Anti-glare custom photography backdrops

Our photography backdrops use an anti-glare flame retardant, making them perfect for any photographic lighting. They are printed onto a 240gsm polyester fabric using a dye-sublimation print method. Dye sublimation creates vibrant prints with superb colour and tone reproduction. The backdrop material has a slight stretch feature, eliminating creases when tensioned correctly.

Large photography backdrops

We print on Black-backed blackout material which is 3m wide. Dependant finishing depicts the maximum size we can manufacture in one piece. So if you require pole pockets, this will use up material from the 3m print. Photography backdrops Larger than 3m are seamed together to produce gigantic backdrops.

Because our custom photography backdrops use a full-colour print method, we can print any design and colour. You can design your phi backdrop with text, gradients and photographs, and your backdrop is limited only by your imagination.

We can finish your backdrop to your desired requirements. You can select hem and eyelets or pole pockets to suit your needs.

How do I send you my artwork?

Our easy to use online ordering system allows you to upload your files when placing the order on our website. If you don’t yet have artwork ready but would like to place your order then you can select upload later option. This can then be sent using a wetransfer link or by email.

How will I know if my artwork is correct?

Our artwork team check all artworks as standard for any issues which may arise.  You will be notified if there is a problem with the artwork.

I want to order more than one backdrop, Can I upload two files?

Yes you can. For orders with several items there are no extra charges for multiple artworks.

Will my backdrop crease if folded?

If the backdrop is folded away for storage then there maybe some creasing. These can be ironed out on a low heat.

Can I use this material in front of a window or light source?

Yes you can, The black blockout line on the back of this will ensure that there is no light show though.

Is there a stand included?

This does not include a stand. We do have stands available here which come with the printed backdrop too.

What is the expected delivery date from placing the order?

You can expect to receive your order 5-6 working days after placing your order and artwork being confirmed. Any delays with artwork issues will slow down the process.

Can I have this in a plain colour?

Yes you can. Simply upload the colour you want as an artwork file.

Does this product include a stand?

No. This is a loose backdrop and doesn’t include a stand.

This product type has been generically tested for flame retardancy AFTER printing using our dye-sublimation process and AFTER our standard finishing procedures.
Tested in the UK to BS5867-2: 2008: Type B specification. We are unable to produce individual test certificates for each bespoke item ordered.
