FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Vinyl Printing?
Vinyl Printing refers to printing onto self-adhesive vinyl or PVC roll materials for the production of display graphics, vehicle decals, stickers and labels.
Can Vinyl printing be cut to shape?
Yes. Your artwork should contain a separate ‘cutting path’ layer so that after printing (and laminating, if applicable), our flatbed cutting machine will follow the paths to cut out complex shapes.
What will Vinyl Printing stick to?
This depends on the qualities of the material used. Different materials and adhesives are designed to stick to different surfaces.
Does Vinyl Printing need laminating?
Any self-adhesive printed vinyl used outdoors will require lamination to protect the print from rain and sunlight for any extended length of time. Laminates are ‘matched’ to our vinyls to ensure that they contract and expand at the same rate, ensuring high-performance and longevity.
How does Vinyl Printing work?
Rolls of material are loaded onto a wide-format inkjet printing machine, typically up to 2.1m wide. Special UV-resistant and waterproof inks are used – usually solvent, eco-solvent or latex inks.
