230gsm PVC-Free Polyester Mesh for Scaffold Wraps

Our PVC-free building wrap mesh is manufactured from heavy-duty 230gsm polyester and is designed for scaffold coverings, construction graphics and large outdoor displays. The fine-mesh structure allows air and light to pass through the material, helping reduce wind loading on exposed installations.

Compared with traditional frontlit PVC banner material, polyester mesh is lighter and easier to handle at large sizes. It is particularly suitable for projects that require a breathable, durable and recyclable printed material without conventional PVC.

The mesh is printed in full colour using high-resolution dye-sublimation technology and water-based inks. This produces vibrant, UV-resistant and weather-resistant graphics suitable for extended outdoor use.

Custom Sizes and Large-Format Printing

Every polyester mesh graphic is produced to the dimensions required for the project. We print on roll widths of up to 3 metres, with larger graphics professionally divided into panels and joined to create exceptionally large scaffold coverings and outdoor displays.

For graphics larger than 5 metres horizontally or vertically, the final panel arrangement will depend on the overall dimensions, artwork and installation requirements. Contact us before ordering if you need advice about panel sizes or exceptionally large artwork.

Reinforced Finishing Options

Polyester mesh graphics are supplied with reinforced hems and eyelets to improve edge strength and provide secure fixing points. Eyelet spacing can be adjusted to suit the intended installation, while additional reinforcement is available for larger or more exposed projects.

Installation and Tensioning Methods

The correct installation method will depend on the size of the graphic, the supporting structure, and the conditions at the installation location. Common fixing methods include:

• Scaffold frames: The mesh can be tensioned across a suitably constructed scaffold framework using bungee shock cord or another appropriate flexible fixing system.
• Bungee tensioning: Bungee ties or cord can be attached through the eyelets to distribute tension while allowing controlled movement during windy conditions.
• Wire cable systems: A steel cable can be installed around the perimeter to create a tensioning framework. Bungee cord is then threaded between the cable and the graphic eyelets.

Large external graphics should be installed by suitably experienced professionals. The supporting structure, fixing method and expected wind loading must be assessed for the individual location before installation.

Artwork and Ordering Assistance

For the best large-format print results, use high-resolution artwork with bold graphics and clear text that will remain visible from the intended viewing distance. Allowances may be required for hems, eyelets, panel joins and any areas that will be obscured by scaffolding.

What's the maximum size building wrap you can print?

We produce building wrap mesh banners to any size, Our machines print onto 3.2m wide rolls and sections of mesh are joined together to create bigger banners.

What is the recommended fixing methods to scaffolding?

Hem and Eyelets are a good option which allows you to use cable ties or bungee ties. For larger banners we recommend hem & eyelets with reinforced hem and then fasten to the scaffold using long bungee cord. Many installers weave the cord in zig zag formation through the eyelets and onto the frame of the scaffold.

You offer several types of mesh, Which is used for building wraps?

As standard, we use PVC-Free Poly Mesh however you can also request to have these manufactured using our 235gsm Air Mesh. This can be ordered on the Air Mesh product page or email your request through if you need non-standard finishing.

How far apart are the eyelets placed

As standard we place eyelets every 500mm around the hem. We can put them closer together on request at no additional cost.

What type of eyelets do you use?

All banners are eyeleted using nickel plated silver eyelets which have a 12mm hole.

Can I have a fire certificate?

Yes we have fire a certificates which can be downloaded here. Our mesh is rated to B1 standards.

This material type has been tested for flame retardancy to UK and EU regulation standards.

We are unable to produce individual test certificates for each bespoke item.
