We can manufacture any personalised backdrop. Most customers use our Personalised backdrops for custom backdrops, youtube backdrops, band banners, stage scrims, stage backdrops, photography backdrops, exhibition displays, podium backdrops, logo backdrops, interview back walls and point of sale displays. We perform backdrop printing using dye-sublimation technology to provide eye-popping, vibrant colours and photo-quality images.

Our backdrop printing service allows us to print fabrics on rolls up to 3m wide to provide huge seamless panels. Larger banners are joined by stitching panels together.

Free of charge finishing, we print personalised backdrops to your specification. Choose eyelets or pole pockets to suit. Many drapes will have eyelets at the top for hanging, with a pole pocket at the bottom through which a weight would be slid in (broom handles or metal pipe). Some are sized to fit across lighting rigs, with eyelets in each corner for secure fixing with bungee clips or cable ties. We also provide a Backdrop Stand.

What is the benefit of a personalised backdrop?

Personalised backdrops have a wide range of uses. When you have an event or a trade show, a bespoke backdrop is an ideal medium for attracting more attention to your brand or services. Maybe you are organising a wedding, wouldn’t it be wonderful to use a personalised backdrop where you can take photographs of the guests in front of a backdrop with the date and names of the lucky couple. We have manufactured bespoke backdrops for a vast range of uses. We have made backdrops for TV shows, conferences, red carpet events, stage and theatres, bands, trade shows and even custom-cloths for unveiling cars.

High-Quality Custom Backdrop Fabric

We can also make even cheaper large format personalised backdrops from standard PVC or Mesh banner material. Although these do save on initial cost, PVC banners are more difficult to pack without creasing, take up more storage room and will not look as good for as long.

Flame Retardancy Certificate

Our Fire Certificate for this product is unique in the industry in that we have our fabrics tested for flame retardancy after printing. Many venue safety officers will now not accept a generic fire safety certificate if it is just for the base fabric. Tested to the highest UK standards, our backdrops surpass BS5867-2: 2008: Type B.

Our backdrop printing process uses 3m wide print presses. The high-resolution dye-sublimation printers create deep and vibrant colours.

Why are your the costs for your backdrops much lower than other suppliers?

We have developed our own unique manufacturing system. This system allows us to automate most parts of the print and finishing processes. We can now produce higher quality backdrops at much lower costs than our competitors.

Are your backdrops good quality?

Yes. Our backdrops are excellent quality. We have 1000’s of happy customers all around the globe.

Does my artwork get checked before printing?

Yes we check all artwork as standard.  Our artwork team will get in touch if there are any issues. We also offer an electronic proof option for £3 this ensures you get peace of mind that you can double check everything before printing.

How do you print these backdrops?

We use dye sublimation technology using CMYK Profiles. Click here for more details.

What colour is the fabric?

As we print full colour the possibilities are almost endless. So unlike relying in stock colour fabrics we can print pretty any colour. If you require for example a banner with a black background please make sure that the background of your artwork is black, set to C-10%, M-10%, Y-10%, K-100%.

Will my backdrop require a join?

Large backdrops with the smallest dimension bigger than 2.9m will require a joined seam.  We recommend vertical joins to avoid unnecessary stress on the joins. The seamed join is professional stitched together by our in house finishing team and once the backdrop is hanging you will hardly notice there is a join there at all.

How long will my backdrop last?

You will get many years use out of your backdrop if cared for.  Neatly fold away when not in use.  You can even machine wash them on low temperature to keep them looking new.

Are your backdrops water proof?

Yes our backdrops are fully waterproof so can be used outside if required. Like any material please make sure you dry before storing as this can cause mold which may ruin your backdrop.

Can I Iron my backdrop if it develops creases in storage?

Yes you can iron the material on a low heat.

What type of eyelets do you use?

We use clear plastic eyelets on polyester fabric.

How do you produce your hems?

The hems are folded and then professionally machine stitched to create a strong durable edge. Edges that don’t require any eyelets will be stitched as standard which will stop the edges fraying.

Can I have pole pockets?

Yes we can manufacture pole pockets at whatever size you require. For a standard scaffold tube you will need a 150mm flat pocket size.

What if I don’t see the finishing I require?

Please enter your special information into the additional information box. Most standard finishing is free but if this isn’t something which we class as standard finishing we will contact you to advise.

Is this product fire rated?

Yes this is fire rated to B1 standards.  The certificate can be downloaded here.

How much is shipping?

Backdrops which are over £250 will be shipping for free. Orders under £250 will cost £15 to ship to UK mainland. T&C’s apply.

My backdrop is going in front of a window, will there be any light show through?

Yes light will shine through on our standard 210gsm polyester material. If you would like something that blocks out light then have a look at our Blockout banner.

This product type has been generically tested for flame retardancy AFTER printing using our dye-sublimation process and AFTER our standard finishing procedures.
Tested in the UK to BS5867-2: 2008: Type B specification. We are unable to produce individual test certificates for each bespoke item ordered.

Buying banners in confidence

You can buy from Banner World with confidence. Your job will go through several checks before manufacture. Firstly when your job comes in, we check all your uploaded files and cross-reference each file against your order. At this point, if we see that artwork is incorrect or if there is a file missing we will contact you to request new artwork. Most of our banners and fabrics are manufactured at our large print factory in Europe. Our standard turnaround on items is 5-6 working days for delivery. Even though most of our ordering system has been automated, we still carry out several manual checks before processing your order. If at any point we have a question or a problem with your order you will be contacted before manufacturing.

Our processes

Please read the information below on how your order is processed. Each order goes through several checks before printing. Our file checking service is standard procedure on all orders. Checking your files means that you can place your order in confidence, knowing that we will check to make sure your order and corresponding artwork match and are correct. Anything we are not sure that we will contact you before proceeding.

What is Our Initial checking service?

When you place an online order, we will cross-reference your artwork against your order. At this point, we will check that the artwork sizes and file type match the order. We will make sure we have the correct number of artwork files for the job. At this stage, if anything appears to be incorrect, we will place the order on hold and contact you immediately.

How do we process your order?

Once we are happy with your order, we will then process it. We collate all the information for each job, including finishing and material type. The job information is then sent with your artwork to the pre-press department. Pre-press is where we will create and prepare your job for printing.

Pre-press refers to the stage before printing. Here your artwork is converted into the correct format for our machines and finishing processes. At this point, if something is spotted which isn’t correct or if there is a problem we will again contact you.

How do we print and track your order through the factory?

Your job is now batched together with other items on the same material. Each item has assigned to it a unique code. The code is used to track the order through our factory. The information is used to check the material, quantity and finishing information on the item. The order then goes through our print presses.

How do we finish your printed items?

Every job we produce is different to the next, whether it be size, material, shape or finishing. Your printed items will be finished as requested on your order. We automate as much of the finishing as possible, cutting down on labour costs and passing on the savings to you. The Prepress data is inputted into parts of our finishing equipment. Your graphics are now finished to your custom requirements. Each printed product is set up differently for each type of finishing process. A banner that has hem and eyelets will be manufactured and produced in a different way to a flag with a pole pocket.

How are your items packed?

We have now manufactured your items. The finishing pieces now move onto the packing department. At the packing stage, we collate your order. Items get checked off against the order using the order code system. The printed goods get wrapped and packed, ready for despatch.

How do you ship my goods?

Now your item has been packed it is ready to be shipped. From placing your order, your goods have taken approx 24-48 hours to get to this stage. We have a logistics team which arrange the shipping through UPS. Our standard delivery (£15 or free over £250) will now take an additional three days to be delivered to an address on UK mainland and most of mainland Europe. Our standard shipping will travel via road and sea to reach the UK. We do offer a faster 1-day shipping method which is our 4-day turnaround service. The fast turnaround service is expensive on low-value bulky orders and is more cost-effective on higher volume jobs. Items to the US and other worldwide destinations will take longer to be delivered. For items going to Ireland, the Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Scottish highlands etc. please add an extra day onto delivery times
