Designing Your Party Banner
Our free online designer allows you to upload your own photos and logos, add text, and choose from a selection of fonts, clip art, and stock images. You can create a unique custom banner by uploading photos from your phone or computer and adding your own personal message to make a custom happy birthday banner or party banner. The online design service offers flexibility without the constraints of set templates.

Sizing and Material
These custom banners can be printed at any size you like, as you are not restricted to set sizes. You can enter your required sizes for instant pricing, and the online designer will create a custom artboard based on your chosen size.
Note that banners on this specific material can be printed up to 2.5m in ONE dimension. For example, your banner could be 2.5m wide by any height, or 2.5m high by any width. For banners larger than 2.5m in one dimension, you would need the PVC Premium Banner. Larger banners are printed on premium 500gsm banner material at widths up to 5m, or bonded together using a high-frequency welding process if larger than 5m in both directions.
The banners are manufactured from high quality 510gsm laminated PVC material. This material is UV stable, high-quality outdoor grade, weather and flame resistant. The print quality uses high-quality UV print technology, ensuring banners stand up to the elements. They are ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, being scratch and fade resistant. These are a cost-effective solution suitable for short to mid-term external use. The outdoor life expectancy is up to 6 months, though this is influenced by how well the banner is fitted. They are printed single-sided only.
Finishing Options
The banners come complete and finished as requested. Standard finishing is included in the price at no extra charge. Options include:
- Hem and Eyelets: Features a 50mm welded hem with nickel-plated silver eyelets spaced approximately every 500mm, with a 12mm diameter hole.
- Hem only: Uses a 50mm welded hem with no eyelets.
- Trimmed to size: The edge is trimmed using a computerised cutter, with no eyelets.
- Pole Pockets: Ideal for hanging, with custom pocket sizing available. Ensure a ‘Clear Area’ is left for pockets, and keep text/logos out of these areas. It’s important to note that having just eye holes without a hem is not advised, as this can cause the material to rip.
Specialist finishing requests can sometimes incur an additional fee. The standard finishing options are the same as those offered on the Premium PVC banners, but reinforced extras are not available for this product; Premium PVC is recommended for longer-term use requiring reinforced options.
Artwork and Ordering
Accepted file formats are PDF, AI, EPS, JPEG, PSD, and TIFF. Maximum file size for direct upload is 128 MB, or 300 MB when using the online designer/uploader. You can also opt to send artwork later. For artwork, there is no bleed required.
A crucial point is the safe area: 50mm for Hem and Eyelets, and Pocket size + 40mm for Pole pockets. Essential elements like text, small print, or logos should not be placed in the safe area for eyelets. Recommended artwork DPI is 75-150dpi.
If you have multiple artworks for different banners, you can upload them and provide a breakdown of quantities in the additional information box, with no extra charge for multiple artworks. To order multiple banners of different sizes without incurring a separate minimum order charge for each size, you can either combine the total square metres into a single large banner order (adding notes with the breakdown) or email your requirements for a quote.
Your artwork will be checked before manufacture. The online designer checks for technical errors, and you may be advised on glaring spelling errors. An initial check cross-references uploaded files against your order details like size, file type, and quantity; if incorrect, the order is put on hold, and you are contacted. A second check happens at the pre-press stage; if any problems are spotted, you will be contacted again.
Delivery
The standard turnaround time is 5-6 working days from receipt of payment and print-ready artwork. Orders and payment received after 2pm start turnaround from the next day.
Once packed (approx. 24-48 hours after ordering), standard delivery takes an additional three days to UK mainland and most mainland Europe via road and sea. Delivery is handled by a 3rd-party courier, and delays outside of their control cannot be helped. A faster 1-day shipping method is available as part of the 4-day turnaround service, more cost-effective for higher volume jobs. Delivery to certain areas like Ireland or the Scottish highlands may take an extra day. Worldwide shipping is available upon request for a quote.
Shipping within UK mainland is £15, but there is Free Delivery on orders over £250 (excluding highlands).
As we are trade suppliers, all items are sent in plain packaging with no branding whatsoever inside or out. This includes no branding on the box, packing label, inside contents, literature, or paperwork, allowing you to send directly to your clients.
Fitting
- Wall Screws: Use with large penny washers over eyelets to protect the banner. Proper tension is vital to prevent flapping and damage in the wind.
- Cable Ties: Ideal for fixing banners to fencing or railings.
- Bungee Ties: This method tensions the banner while allowing flex in the wind, protecting hems and eyelets. Requires a fixing frame or d-ring anchor points.
