Event banner printing
Use Event Banners for sports events, school banners, promotional banners, personalised birthday banners, festival banners, promotional banners and more. These are an excellent solution for an outdoor trade show stand, banner display stands, or short-term fence graphics.
Event Banner VS Premium Trade Banner
Event Banner 510gsm is cheaper than our Premium PVC 500gsm banner, hence the lower cost to you. These banners are printed and finished the same way as our premium banners. The material looks very similar to our premium PVC; our event banner is laminated PVC, which is generally standard sign shop grade. Ideal for short to mid-term usage. Why spend more on premium material if your banners are only used once for a short period?

High-Quality Banner Printing
510gsm event banner is printed using high-quality UV print technology. This print process allows us to quickly make high-quality banners which will stand up to the elements.
Event Banner Sizes
We print Event Banners on roll widths up to 2500mm. More sizeable banners are printed on premium 500gsm banner material at widths up to 5m. Banners larger than 5m in one direction are bonded together using a high-frequency welding process.
Trade Price banner printing
We produce the highest quality banners at the lowest possible prices. Even though our prices are low doesn’t mean our products are cheap. Cheap refers to something that is made with the cost being the only objective. We offer only high-quality banners at the lowest possible trade prices. Event Banners are, of course, ideal as a cheap banner solution, producing a high-quality print at a low price. Here are some alternatives for you to consider.
The main difference here is the quality of the banner material. It is stronger and will last longer, printed on roll widths up to 5 metres.
We use 650gsm banner material for our double-sided banners. 650 gsm is a heavy-duty material, and it’s used for:
Robust single-sided banners, as well as double-sided PVC banners.
If you see lamp post banners, then its highly likely 650 gsm block banner material has been used to manufacture this type of banner. Double-sided banner material has a block out liner which prevents light show-through.
Larger and more exposed banners will act as a giant sail when the wind hits. The wind can rip the banner from its fixings or cause damage to the structure it is affixed. Mesh PVC banners and printed Fabric materials benefit from lots of small holes which can let the air pass through the printed face. The added airflow reduced wind loading.
We offer a wide range of polyester and cotton based fabrics suitable for internal and external banners. Fabric material benefits from looking better, being much lighter (from 115gsm), and being more environmentally-friendly. Fabrics are printed using our dye-sublimation process, which produces stunning rich hues and vibrant, eye-popping colours.
Design Guide for Event Banners
Set your dimensions correctly
Please set your artwork to the correct proportions of your final printed event banner. We do not require any bleed on the artwork for an event banner. If necessary, you can set your artwork to scale.
Set the correct CMYK colour settings
Please make sure that you set your colour settings to CMYK. Our UV printers use a full-colour printing process which works using CMYK inks. Files that are sent to use using an RGB setup will be changed automatically. Sometimes this can make the colours on your printed banner seem weak & washed out. We will check for this before printing and contact you if required.
Position of eyelets on your Printed Event Banners
Please leave clear area approx 50mm inside the outside of the banner. Background images and colours are ok. Please ensure that no essential text elements, small print or logos are in the eyelets’ safe area. It is not advised to have just eye holes (without the hem) as this can cause the material to rip.
We space our eyelets approx every 500mm apart unless otherwise stated. Eyelets will be evenly spaced so eyelet spacing might vary slightly on different sizes of banners.
Event Banner Design Principles
Before creating your design, it’s important to consider the viewing distance. It’s best to create your artwork to give the highest possible impact. Contrasting colours will give your banner much more clout than washed out subtle colours.
Also, think about text sizes. The larger the text, the easier you will see it from a distance. Use upper and lower fonts. Look at road signs as they are all in upper and lower type rather than all capitals. Subconsciously your eyes will read upper and lower (sentence case) — font type. Usually, clearer fonts work better than stripey unreadable fonts. Look at most leading brands, i.e. McDonald’s, IKEA, B&Q, Dominos Pizza – all these companies use very readable fonts and typefaces.
Less is more, cramming every little bit of information onto your banner probably isn’t a good idea. Remember to use space and give your design space to breathe. The best adverts are always simple and straight to the point. Remember your average viewer needs to read your message in 3 seconds or less.
Event Banner Fitting Methods
Screws can be used, with large penny washers over the eyelets to protect the banner. It is vital to achieving the proper tension on banners fitted by this method – too loose and the wind will cause the banner to flap and affect hems and eyelets.
Plastic cable ties are ideal for fixing Event Banners to fencing or railings.
This method tensions the banner and allows some flex when the wind hits, thus protecting hems and eyelets. You will need to affix a fixing frame around the outer or some d ring anchor points.
Banners made from PVC are cheaper than ones made from eco-friendly materials but are harmful to the environment if disposed of in landfill sites after use. We encourage our customers to recycle their old PVC Banners using a recycling service.
