Frequently Asked Questions

Can you print photos onto a flag?

Yes, we print in full colour at high resolution from your artwork.

How big a flag can you print?

Any size is possible! Our machines print onto fabric rolls 3.2m wide. Larger flags are made up of panels stitched together.

How do I clean my flag?

Flags can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, or machine washed at 30 degrees.

Can I attach the flag to a flag pole?

Yes we offer a range of finishing options to attach your flag to various style poles.

Is this a single or double sided flag?

This is a single sided print with reverse show through on the back.

Do you have any stock artworks like a specific country or football team?

No we don’t keep any stock artworks but if you speak to one of our design team then we can help you get the design you want. Artwork charges may apply.

Can you make a double sided flag with different artwork on either side?

Not on this material. We do have double sided fabric but please be mindful that this would be a lot heavier so would react differently to wind when mounted on a flag pole.

Can I several flags all with different artworks on them?

Yes this is not a problem and there are no hidden extra artwork charges for multiple artworks.

How long is delivery from ordering?

5-6 working days is the standard lead time.  If you need it quicker please contact our sales team.

What types of flag material are available?

With our customers, our most popular banner flag printing material is 115gsm polyester fabric which is printed using vibrant dye-sublimation technology. We also offer 115gsm Airmesh and 210gsm Polyester. If you have a question or need a different material, then please contact us with your requirements.

What types of flag finishing are available?

We offer eight different standard finishing options, including rope and toggle, carbine hooks for your perfect custom banner flag. You can view all finishing options on our calculator on Step 2 (Select Finish)

What flag size can I have?

Our high-quality printing service for flags covers flags up to any size. From small hand-waving flags to huge flags for sporting events at stadiums, exhibitions and events. Our machines print onto 3.2m wide rolls of material. Flags larger than 3m wide in either dimension are simply produced in sections which are then stitch seamed together.

Can a Flag be double-sided?

Standard flags are printed onto a thin polyester fabric which is designed to flap in the wind. When printed, the image shows through on the reverse. If you require a different design on each side of your flag, contact us prior to order for advice on suitable materials and prices.

Fire Certificate Information

This material type has been tested for flame retardancy to UK and EU regulation standards.

We are unable to produce individual test certificates for each bespoke item.

Buying banners in confidence

Every BannerWorld order goes through several checks before it reaches production. Although most of our ordering system is automated, our team still checks each order manually before it is printed. If we spot a problem or have a question, we will contact you before manufacturing begins.

Our standard turnaround is 5 to 6 working days to delivery, and most products are also available on an express service. Some express products can also be produced on our super express service, with delivery in 1 to 2 working days.

How Your Order Is Processed

File checking is standard on every order, at no extra cost. We make sure your artwork matches what you have ordered, so you can order knowing mistakes will be caught early. If anything is unclear, we will get in touch before going any further.

Step 1: Initial Artwork Check

When your order arrives, we cross-reference your artwork against it. We check that the artwork sizes and file types match the order and that we have the correct number of files for the job. If anything looks wrong or a file is missing, we put the order on hold and contact you straight away.

Step 2: Order Processing

Once your order passes the initial check, we gather all the job details, including material type and finishing. This information is sent with your artwork to our pre-press department.

Step 3: Pre-Press and Second Check

Pre-press is the stage before printing. Here your artwork is converted into the correct format for our printers and finishing equipment. This gives us a second chance to catch any problems, and if we find one, we will contact you again.

Step 4: Printing and Tracking

Your job is batched with other items printed on the same material. Each item is given a unique code that tracks it through our factory and confirms the correct material, quantity and finishing at every stage. Your order then goes to print.

Step 5: Finishing

Every job is different, whether in size, material, shape or finishing, and each one is finished exactly as specified on your order. A banner with hems and eyelets is made in a different way to a flag with a pole pocket, so each finishing process is set up to suit the product. We automate as much of this as possible using our pre-press data, which keeps labour costs down and lets us pass the savings on to you.

Step 6: Packing

Finished items move to our packing department, where your order is collated and every item is checked off against it using the order code system. Your goods are then wrapped and packed ready for despatch.

Step 7: Delivery

Our logistics team arranges delivery of your order. Most orders are sent by next day courier, and large volume orders may go on a dedicated courier.
