MD-X is a cost-effective alternative to cast vinyl for most vehicle wrapping scenarios and is ideal for fitting onto compound curves and moderate recesses. MD-X is a grey-backed product that enables the film to stop strong colours under the wrap showing through. Wrap Lamination is only available with matching gloss laminate. (Total thickness with laminate 100 microns).

The air release system aids installation by enabling trapped airflow to escape through special microchannels on the film’s reverse. The airflow system enables quicker application with fewer bubbles in the surface when applying.

Why should I choose MDX over a printed cast vinyl?

MDX wrap vinyl is an intermediate grade wrap vinyl that works well in most situations. MDX wrap vinyl isn’t a cast vinyl, but it makes for a very good substitute with its high-grade polymers. MDX behaves similar to cast in shallow to medium recesses, and as wrap experts, we believe the stretch on MDX is around 70% to that of cast vinyl. If you were undertaking the wrapping of a vehicle with very deep recesses like the Mercedes Sprinter, we would advise a cast vinyl as we feel this is beyond the limitations of MDX.

Non-shrink printed vinyl

MD-X is a high-quality vinyl with high non-shrink properties making it the perfect choice for high-quality flat application installations. If you require a high performing vinyl for signs in constant direct sunlight and the elements, then MDX is the ideal vinyl option. Because of its high-quality plasticisers, MDX won’t shrink like cheaper vinyl. If you have a signage job and looking for high-quality vinyl printing, then MDX vinyl printing is the ideal product.

What Size Can You Print MD-X Wrap Vinyl To?

Our rolls are 1370mm wide x 50m. We print at a maximum width of 1320mm. Larger graphics are supplied in panels.

Does This Product Come Laminated?

Yes, we laminate using a matched gloss or matt clear vinyl to protect your graphic from fading in the sun or being scratched. Optional laminates include dry-wipe and anti-graffiti.

What Surfaces Will MD-X Wrap Vinyl Stick To?

MD-X Wrap Vinyl has a permanent, pressure-sensitive adhesive and will stick to any smooth surface including metals, glass and most plastics.

Can MD-X Wrap Vinyl Be Cut To Shape?

Yes, it can. Once laminated, our self-adhesive vinyl can be contour cut on our flatbed cutting table. You should provide a separately layered cutting path in your artwork file.

Can MD-X Wrap Vinyl Be Used Outdoors?

Yes, it can. Our vinyl is weatherproof and waterproof as well as being fade-resistant.

Can MD-X Wrap Vinyl Be Installed Onto Shaped Surfaces?

How Long Will MD-X Wrap Vinyl Last Outdoors?

When correctly installed, we expect it to last for a minimum of 5 years outdoors.

How Do I Remove MD-X Wrap Vinyl?

We recommend applying a little heat to the vinyl, then peeling it off. Heat will soften the adhesive.
